This choice: Hike up a hill for the best view of the entire city • Go Back...Chapter #8A Plan Forms by: Unknown The remaining ten mice tucked away inside the husky’s tight shirt chattered amongst themselves, their tiny voices unheard by the oblivious canine, as she hiked up the mountain trail with natural ease. Their bus driver was probably still stuck somewhere in the dark, warm, sweaty valley between Vicky’s athletic cheeks. He had gone completely unnoticed by the canine, and the mice could only hope that he was okay back there. In the meantime, all they could do was ride it out and hope the rest of the husky’s ‘tour’ goes smoothly. “Wow. Y’all see that?” Vicky said upon reaching the top of the hill, watching out over the expansive cityscape that stretched from horizon to horizon below. “This is the most beautiful view of the city, right here…” The mice were actually beginning to enjoy themselves as they looked out over the spectacular view, awed by the sheer size of the city. Their regular tour guides never showed them places like this.
It was about lunchtime, so Vicky decided the adorable little mice should have a picnic right on top of the hill. She freed them from the confines of her bra, setting them down on a patch of dirt with an amazing view of the city. Although she only had a single energy bar to spare, the rodent people were so tiny, they were able to easily divide it up between themselves. Vicky sat down by them as they relaxed on the hilltop, giggling as she watched the tiny, doll-like people have their feast. The rodents were beginning to enjoy their tour at this point, and were charmed by the husky as she told them stories of her misadventures around town. After their picnic dragged on for a while, though, Vicky noticed a ticket that seemed to have fallen out of one of the mouse’s pocket. “Oh! What’s this?” She smiled, curiously. The mice didn’t seem to be able to speak loud enough for her to hear, so she enjoyed any possibility of communication.
She had to squint to read it, but from what she could tell, it was some kind of ticket for the tour the mouse were supposed to be taking. She first noticed, in a particularly big font, the text ‘3 DAY TOUR’. “You guys are on a three day tour?” She smiled, her tail wagging as she was filled with excitement, which ended up knocking some of the mice off their balance. Apparently, the little tour they were taking needed three days just to make it a couple miles… but with your size, you could show them all the coolest spots in the entire city in that time! As she watched the mice finish their meal, her mind raced as she tried to come up with a plan on how to fill the three days with as much stuff as possible.
By the time they finally finished with their little ‘picnic’, the husky was eager to get moving. “Alright guys, let’s get moving,” she said, tucking the mice one-by-one into her bra once again; they didn’t seem to resist much this time, and in fact, some of the males seemed positively eager. She giggled, glad that they were getting comfortable tucked away beneath her tight shirt. Satisfied, the husky jogged down the hill again, a plan already half-formed in her mind. Today, she’d stop by a few interesting vistas, stop for dinner, see a few things along the coast, and be home by sundown. She giggled at the idea of making the mice little beds out of napkins… but she’d cross that bridge when she came to it. First thing’s first; it was time to visit... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
