Chapter #4

This is too much. Put the book away.

    by: Unknown
The echoing sound of footsteps gradually faded into hearing and he stuffed the book in one of the drawers in the desk and lay back, as if going to sleep. He just hoped that it wasn't a teacher coming in for one reason or another. Then he'd surely get detentions for weeks for being in this area of the library. A face poked through a gap in the bookshelves and peered at him, long red hair dangling, as if making a break for the floor to slither away.

"There you are you lazy bum." Viola said, stepping into view. "Been looking for you for friggin' ages. I was gonna say, do you wanna go up on the roof of the great hall?" She grinned mischievously. "No one can see you up there because the roof dips, and I've been learning a levitation spell. We can get up there pretty easily." She sat down in the other chair next to Jack and crossed her legs.

"Sure. I don't have any other plans for today really. I wanted to get some studying done but, what the hell." He grinned and stood up, stretching. The combination of the warm room, comfy armchair and near-silence had left him feeling drowsy. Viola stood up a second later, only now noticing the slightly open drawer. She pulled it open and took out the book.

"Oooh, what's this then?" She exclaimed, opening the book to a random page and laughing loudly as she began reading. "Jack, come read this. I mean seriously, why does Black Briar have a book with spells on how to summon Succubi to do your bidding? And a transformation spell? Woah, this book is awesome." She began flipping through the book, sometimes giggling and sometimes looking intrigued as various spells caught her eye. She turned to Jack, and noticed his slightly raised eyebrow. "What?" She smiled. "Some of those things are awesome!"

"Vi, I can't read it." He said, opening the book to the first page where the explanation about only girls being able to read it was written in the slightly spidery handwriting. "And no, you're not turning me into a girl. It says it lasts a week! And anyway, it's probably too advanced of a spell for us to even be able to cast yet. This seems like a pretty advanced thing to be honest." He placed the book on the table, picked up his bag and began walking slowly down the rows of shelves.

Before he got to the end of the row of shelves not even fifteen paces away, he felt funny. It started in his groin, and gradually spread to his legs, chest and head. The sparse hair on his chest began shrinking away and breasts sprouted.
