See the thing about Jake is that he is by nature a loner. No one wants him or be near him. To make it easier for you all to understand his parents ditched him at an orphanage when he was a month old, the nuns never make sure he was alright, and he ran away from the orphanage at the age of ten. He found an abandon house and made it his home. Sure he stole gardening tool, seeds and stuff like that but he was able to raise himself. Now for the house it was a normal house probably about a couple of devades ago but now it was a house that had rotten wood, holes in the ceiling, and vermin at every turn in the house. No one wants to live there but Jake makes do of it.
As fir school Jake just lies for almost everything about it. What he tells everyone is that his parents are divorced and only during the fall and winter is when he is in state while spring and summer he lives with his dad in Maine. The truth he only went to school to keep warm and once it got warm enough he ditched and waited for the whole cycle to start over again. While he did this no one even cared enough to look for him, to befriend him, or even talk to him. He was nothing more then a phantom to everyone. He doesn't mind the lonely life because that was what his life was destain to be. Until he found this little girl. Now he had someone/thing to share his pain. To keep him company, to talk to, hell if she cursed him out he could just use her as a toy/slave.
As Jake walked home thinking of what he should do with his new friend/toy/slave only one thing bugged him. What was he going to say to her? Or better yet how would she react?
Jake thought and figured Let her do the that for me. If she flips shit she is my slave, talks down on me = toy, tries to reason with me a friend.
