Amber gulped, seeing a transparent girl standing behind her, the sun glinting through her body. She was wearing no clothes, just a backpack, which looked distorted viewed through her. Blinking Amber expected an eager expression, hunger, aggression. She'd seen a lot of that around the school as she came in, but instead... sadness.
Those glinting purple eyes blinked, the girl seemingly biting her upper lip and staring up at Amber.
"Um... e... excuse me? A... are you human?" The girl said in a tremulous voice. She visibly gulped. And that was literally visibly! Amber couldn't tear her eyes away from a little bubble of air sliding down the girls neck, in behind her chest, it ending sort of dissolving in her belly.
"Uh..." She blinked, then snapped her gaze up the girl's eyes, though not that far. She was shorter than Amber at maybe four foot tall. "Yes, I'm human."
Amber had wondered if she should pretend. There were a few monster girls she could pretend to be, but it was just too dangerous. Most monstergirls had very obvious non-human features, and those that didn't... well, they tended to be very defensive of their looks because of it. They also usually were tougher, or could shape change (rare, but not unheard of) or in some cases just looked human most of the time. She knew some varieties of Octogirls could bring their eight tentacle legs together, imitate two legs and just wear clothes to hide them. Most didn't bother though, they were a prideful race.
"Oh, good. I w... was hoping you were." the slime girl said, an almost desperate look coming to her eyes... and oddly a faint bubbling was now going on inside her body, including limbs and even head! It was like the aerators in a fish tank, but everywhere! That was so disturbing to watch, but after a second it faded away.
"Uh..." She looked at the still very nervous looking girl and tried to avoid thinking of what she was made of. Blue slime? Wait, was that some kind of metaphor? She was blue, so thus sad? Some monster girls did play up to human expectations but this seemed a bit much. "You were? Um, why?"
The faintest hint of a smile formed on the girl's face, looking a little desperate.
"Well, you see I need a human. Desperately!" The girl said, making Amber's eyes go wide as the slimegirl explained...
