Chapter #6

Vanessa is able to keep up

    by: emjats Author IconMail Icon
Vanessa had always been more beautiful than Laura, and apparently with that came a slightly higher baseline strength. Laura had to smirk as Vanessa was benching her set of 65 lbs when she herself had struggled with just the bar. The difference was marginal and Laura knew what was coming.

"Alright, girls. That was a good first day to find out where we are. Let's meet back tomorrow to really hit it."

Laura couldn't wait. In the matter of a year, she'd be practically superhuman, but it shouldn't take long for her to overtake Vanessa's strength, and that would be something.

One Month Later

Laura should be ecstatic. The last month had added 20 lbs to her frame bringing her up to an athletic 125. She was actually getting regularly checked out in public now, a feeling she had rarely experienced before. Not to mention she was pretty sure her long time platonic friend Jason was practically in love with her now.

Her lifts had improved too. She was going to be damn strong when this ended. The first month alone had upped her bench (her favorite lift to track her strength) from struggling with the 45 lb bar to full sets with 100.

Laura should have been ecstatic because she should finally be surpassing Vanessa at something. Somehow, though, Vanessa was actually progressing faster than Laura. Yet another example of the Friedman genes being uneven.

Vanessa had added a six-pack under her Double-Ds, and none of the fat loss had come from her chest. Vanessa had originally wanted to join Greg at the gym to "tone up" and maybe check out the hunks, but from the first day she had fallen in love with lifting and was damn good at it. In four short weeks her sister had become somewhat of a celebrity in the gym for her progress.

"Damn, Vanessa. Even I didn't make those kinds of gains my first month." Greg interjected, breaking Laura's inner monologue.

Laura sat and watched her sister posing in the mirror after her third bench press set with 150 lbs. "You know, I was afraid that the stronger I got that I'd lose my, um, assets. I couldn't have been more wrong. I mean, I had an awesome booty before, but now I look 10x better. Even the muscles I was really scared to build look good." Vanessa flexed her biceps in the mirror and grinned as wide as possible. A tennis ball sized mound rose from her slender arm. "I thought it wasn't feminine, but I was wrong. The bigger I get the sexier I feel. I told myself I'd stop gaining after a little bit, but no way. I'm getting as big as possible." She pumped her arm a few more times and then spread her lats and turned to look over her shoulder in the mirror. "You know what I mean, Laura? You have to, you're building up, too., no offense, but this look is a huge improvement from where you were.

Laura smiled and nodded. She knew her sister was right, but she struggled with the jealousy. She was supposed to be the one making a splash, but as usual, Vanessa stole the spotlight. How could this happen?

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. The app somehow affected Vanessa

2. Vanessa is a natural at gaining muscle

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
