"I think we should get some weapons to protect ourselves... Walmart sells guns, doesn't it?" Marie asked meekly as she heard one of the zombies inside stumble over a display of some sort, sending cans clanging to the floor. Fransisca raised an eyebrow at her sisters suggestion. "Really Marie? Thats not normally like you... actually wanting us to get some guns instead of trying to reason with the zombies." She said with a laugh. "You sure you're really my sister?" Marie let out a soft laugh as the two walked inside. "Well... we... we don't want to end up dead, right?" She replied as she tried to keep her mind off getting dismembered. "Damn right, I'm proud of you. Now, lets hurry up and grab some firearms before we come across any undead." Fransisca said as she began walking towards the front counter.
"Lets see... they usually have a map or something near the front." She said as the two began looking around at the various signs and pictures lining the walls near the service counter. "Oh, Fransisca! Over heres a map!" Marie called a bit louder than she intended. "Keep it down, Marie!" Fransisca muttered in a sharp tone. "They'll hear us if you make too much noise." Marie bowed her head a bit and replied that she was sorry, then pointed to a small piece of paper taped to a wall. It was a small map of the store with the fire exits marked with yellow circles from a sharpie marker. "Okay, good. On here its says that the hunting supplies are in the back next to the bathrooms, lets get going." Fransisca said as the two carefully navigated their way to the back through the darkened aisles.
The only illumination came from the sun peeking in through the front doors and a few small windows on the ceiling, giving just enough light to see by... and enough darkness to hide whatever may be lurking around the corner. "F-Fransisca?" Marie asked in a worried tone. "I'm... I'm a little scared..." Fransisca was quite unnerved herself, but tried to sound calm so her sister wouldn't panic. "I'm a little scared too Marie, hell, the whole world got pretty horrifying real fast, but don't worry. Soon we'll have guns to defend ourselves with, we'll make it out of here if we have to shoot everyone ourselves." Marie reached out and grabbed her sisters hand and held it tight as she turned around. "You... you promise?" She asked as she looked into her sisters eyes. "Yeah." Fransisca replied in her a confident tone. "I promise you you'll see mom and dad again as soon as we get out of here." Marie smiled as best she could and hugged her sister. "Thank you." She said softly as they continued making their way to the back of the store.
