Marie wasn't a big fan of the dark and knew she wouldn't get far without a light source of some kind. Luckily, that is exactly what she found underneath a pile of discarded t-shirts laying on the floor, along with a small pack of batteries and a note. It seemed to have been hastily scrawled out in ink with a few splotches here and there. It read:
Dammit, Johnson and Craig didn't make it back. I'm going out there. If I die and anyone finds this, we managed to barricade or seal off most of the stadium, but somehow they got in. Not many, but be careful if you go looking around. I've hidden a few supply catches all around the place, covered in park t-shirts or placed them next to souveners. Everyone else just uses an "R" symbol, think I heard em' say it stood for resupply. None of that nonsense here, you find anything next to a blue item go ahead and take it. But DO NOT touch anything near a red item or so help me god one of us will hunt you down ourselves. We might NEED those supplies... and we already had to kill Ann. Stay alert, stay focused, and for god's sake, stay away from the windows and doors.
- Saul
"Oh my god..." Marie whispered and she looked over the note again before putting it away. "Those things managed to get in, but there may be some more stuff here. I best look around... maybe I can even find a safe place to spend the night." She clicked the flashlight on and made her way over to the stairs. There were a few bloodstains on the wall and signs of a struggle, but no bodies meant the survivours who had fought here likely got away.
The second floor was a little worse off than the first, with a dead body covered in a blanket to greet Marie as she walked past a couple broken chairs and a ruined vending machine, the only remains of one of the barricades that had saved the survivours here from a quick death on the first day. As grim as the situation seemed, Marie still felt safer here than outside, where she would be easy prey for a group of these things. "At least in this creepy place I only have to worry about a couple dozen at a time instead of an entire horde... if there are even that many left." She said as she tightened her grip on her crowbar. Marie continued to walk down the vast empty hallway past a few restrooms, snack shops, and vending machines, careful to keep her eyes on any spot that something could leap out at her. Soon she came to a branched off hallway leading a little further towards the center of the stadium. At its end was a door leading outside to where Marie guessed the upstair seats were. Should she go and check out the view of the stage or stay inside and keep following the main hallway?
