Ryan grew silent as he work to get dinner ready and ren was watching him carefully.
“I think ashley told me about you when she was caring for me.” Ryan said
“Really?” ren was asking unsure
“Yeah, you look like it when you first met her, but ash got older and prettier.” Ryan said
“I liked her and she took me to see some of her coworkers at her job when I asked and I saw this one guy standing around watching everyone. He saw me looking at him and he came by to talk with me, but he said that he was on his job so he couldn’t talk with me then. He said his name was kain and I wanted to call him a friend.” Ryan said as he worked
“I never met him before.” Ren said as she thought of kain in her other form
“I never really knew my parents, but my foster parents were always fighting I would leave to see ash and/or kain for the day before returning to that place. I met with their boss, salen, who was kind to me and she was a little scary at first; but she let me stay with her while ash and kain were working.
Soon ryan finished making dinner for them and gave ren a bowl of stew before getting himself some dinner.
“I met with the other co-workers that work with kain and ash, but I had to leave for home and I wanted salen to never have my parents know who I was with or what I was doing.”
“Why?”
“Because I didn’t want them to get hurt when my father would force me to tell him and my mother.”
“Kain and ash left me a note saying they were going to leave the town, but salen said that I could stay with her when I need to be away.”
“I’m looking for a giant fox because kain and ashe were friends with it, but they said that she had sisters and I would like to meet them.” Ryan said with a sad smile
“I’m sure that you will met this giant fox sooner than you think.” Ren said and ryan looked at her slightly confused
“Thank you for the meal and I have to leave.” Rena said and ryan turned and stopped her from leaving when he heard something outside
“You can’t leave yet.” Ryan said as he pulled out his bow and arrow before leaving his cave
“He has friends looking for me and they are the ones who set up the cameras.” Ryan said as ren nodded
~I have to get into my other form help him to my cave.~ ren thought
When ryan came outside, he was growling because someone or a group was close to his cave and he was not in the mood to move again so he was ready to fight. He readied an arrow and waited for something to move. There was a sound loud enough for ryan to make the arrow fly to the source of the sound and there was a scream before ryan sent another for the person to drop dead.
“I know you are there.” Ryan said as he readied another arrow
“Your parents are worried about you and they want you to come home.” Was heard before ryan killed the guy with the arrow
“They are not my parents.”
Something stepped on a twig and ryan reacted with speed so another dropped dead, but ryan needed to keep one alive.
“Just go back to the rat invested hole you came from and tell them that I’m fine without them.” Ryan said as something caught his eye and he fired another arrow
Another body dropped so ryan fired that left about three of them left since he keeping track of them. He heard something to his right and he fired another arrow, but he was running out of arrows.
“What is this kid?” was heard to his left
“Is he some kind of beast?” close to the one next to his friend
Ryan just fired two arrows into those guys foreheads between the eyes and they dropped like stones leaving the leader left.
“As I said, leave and don’t come back.” Ryan said as he fires his last arrow in the leader’s arm
“Alright, I’m going.” The leader said as he left ryan’s waterfall cave
Ryan stayed there till he couldn’t hear anything left of the leader before walking inside his cave and I finished eating the rest of his stew.
“Not even a day I have to move again or I’ll lose the next battle.” Ryan said thinking out-loud
“Ryan, I’m sorry for the trouble I caused.” Ren said and he looked at her
“It’s not your fault.” Ryan said smiling
“What do you mean?”
“Somehow they found me while you were with me and I doubt that you would help them unless you didn’t know about me.” Ryan said
“Ren, you have my trust and you are my friend.” He said with a happy smile
~How would he take the news about me in my true form?~ ren thought
Ryan finished off the dinner he made for himself and ren before putting out the fire.
“I have to find that fox before they find me again.” Ryan said as ren decided on something
“Ryan, did ash found out about me and the fox being related?” ren asked he looked at her
~So she is the fox and I thought she would told ashe before she moved away.~ ryan thought
“I don’t know; I didn’t get the chance to ask her.” Ryan said as he smiled a knowing smile
~He is smarter than he looks.~ ren thought with a smile as well
Ryan noticed with a growl before destroying the one camera in the cave then heading out and destroyed another one on the cave mouth. He vanished and destroyed the rest of the hidden cameras before reappearing and going back inside to see ren.
“We have to leave before he comes back with help.”
