After pondering for a moment, Melissa decided against taking even more height from Rebecca. She had already taken a pretty noticeable amount of height from her-any more and she'd no doubt get caught. Melissa wasn't too fond of the idea of being experimented on to see just how her power worked...
She turned to her seat and sat down, her mind drifting off as usual as soon as her teacher opened his mouth. This time, though, her daydreams were focused entirely on growth. Think, think think; what's a good way to get height without getting any attention... she thought to herself, her brain drifting back to her alarm clock that she had absorbed earlier that day. Wait, that's it! Dammit, how could I be so stupid?
Her powers didn't just apply to human beings; the teen could absorb objects as well! All she needed to do was wait after class, then she could absorb whatever she wanted!
Giddy to start her absorption, Melissa impatiently waited out the school day, sighing in relief when the bell rang after taking what felt like an eternity. Pretending she had to go to the restroom, she waited for about twenty more minutes, giving her fellow classmates time to file out of the building, then exited the bathrooms, walking through the darkened hallways.
"So much to take, so little time..." She murmured to herself. "Wait, what am I saying? I've got all afternoon!"
Smirking to herself, Melissa arrived at the entrance hall of the school. I wonder, she thought to herself. Where I should go first?
