Melissa's father was a blue-collar worker through and through. The first to clock in and the last to leave whenever it was his time to punch in. He was a hard-working everyman who liked to drink and watch whatever sports game was on in his free time. He was a traditionalist and just like many other traditionalists, believed everyone had a role.
He was the provider of course, her mother was the doting housewife, her former brother was to be the man of the house whenever he was away, and in his eyes, she was the second lady of the house next to her mother. Melissa found his traditional belief system exhausting and with this new power of her she could finally put an end to it.
As he sat on the living room couch with a bowl of cereal in hand, he was completely unaware of his daughter sneaking up on him. What happened upstairs went unnoticed by him as he was far more focused on ESPN than the goings on in his own home. Melissa was so close now. All it would take is one touch and it would all be over.
As she continued to creep up behind him, she began to have a slight crisis of conscience. Unlike her brother her father wasn't exactly a mean guy. He was stern sure, but also fair. He worked his ass off but at the same time his archaic nineteen fifties like mindset for men and women drove her nuts!
She was right behind him now. Maybe she should just stop here? She already fully absorbed Derek and there was no undoing that, not that she ever would even if she could. One was enough, right? She didn't actually want to absorb her father as well, did she? Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. She wasn't exactly sure anymore. What should she do?
