Fitz sat in his lab with Shield's newest inhuman recruit, Stuart Bernard Szalinski. He was recommended to S.H.I.E.L.D for his...Unique ability.
"So...Mr. Szalinski...What is the nature of your inhuman abilities?" Fitz asked, with a pen and paper.
"Ironically, it's related to my name...Uh...You see...Ever since I discovered this ability of mine, I've been searching out for Dr. Pym. At first, he called me insane, and almost had his ninja-like daughter kick my ass, but when I activated my ability on the three of us, Hank was fascinated...Unfortunately, Dr. Pym couldn't make any device to help me control it, since my ability seems to be organic as opposed to his artificial process." The man explained.
"And that would be...?" Fitz asked.
"According to Dr. Pym and his daughter Hope, I can...Naturally absorb and expell a particular kind of Pym particles." Stuart explained.
"And by that you mean...?" Fitz asked again, annoyed with his vagueness.
"I can shrink myself and others down...Even objects...Though, I don't have the best control over it...Theoretically, I can do the reverse too, but I've only managed to do it on a sugar cube..." He said.
"Okay, you can go now..." Fitz said, dismissing his claims.
"Wait, you don't believe me?" The man asked.
"Growing and Shrinking is something you'd see in a comic book, or movie. It's scientifically impossible for it to exist in real life." Fitz said, not knowing Pym's closely guarded secret of Ant-Man or Wasp.
"Your joking, right? You sound more naive than Hank when we discovered my abilities. I can bench press 500 tons, runs over 400 mph, I'm so durable, bullets shatter when they hit me, and me shrinking stuff is far fetched?" The man questioned.
"Could've just said you were super strong and fast and all that. Didn't have to make up a gimmick." Fitz said, writing down the claimed feats for reference later.
"Call Hank! He'll confirm it! Hell, call Scott! He's seen it too!" The man said, irritated.
"Don't have a clue who Scottie is, but Dr. Pym is adamant about receiving calls from us at SHIELD." Fitz briefly explained.
"You're serious!? A man of science like you acknowledges aliens exist, but size manipulation is where you draw the line?!" The man couldn't believe the way Fitz dismissed his claims.
"When aliens invaded one of the most populous cities in the world from a wormhole above, I believe it." Fitz coldly replies.
"You want me to show you?" He asked.
"No, I want you to leave. SHIELD is willing to test your abilities in a safe environment." Fitz said, waving his hand for him to leave.
"I'll prove it to you! Just, give me a second-"
"No, just leave, before I have you escorted out."
"I can prove it to you!" The man claimed, irritated.
"Daisy, come escort our inhuman friend-" Fitz was saying before the inhuman activated his ability.
A flash of light emanated from the inhuman's body, causing both men to shrink to the size of worker drone ants on the hard floor.
"What the!? You were right...Change is back, hurry!" Fitz demanded.
"That's the hard part, I can't control it on a whim. Why do you think I'm here in the first place?" Stuart pointed out.
"Fitz? Is everything alright? Gemma, he's not here." Daisy Johnson said, entering the lab with Gemma Simmons behind her.
"Where could he have gone so quickly? We rushed right over when he paged you." Simmons said, walking down the other end of the lab.
"I don't know...Maybe he left with the new inhuman? Wonder if he left a note..." The inhuman giantess walked down the pathway, unknowingly into the path of the two tiny men.
"Hurry up and grow our bloody arses!" Fitz berated the man.
"Will you shut up!? I'm under enough stress as is. Besides, one wrong move and I can accidently shrink us down even furth-" The man was saying.
"LOOK OUT!" Fitz shouted as Daisy's boot was coming down on them.
The inhuman rushed at the doctor with the intent of pushing them both to safety.
How did it work out?
