Natalie was out on the town, enjoying a day of shopping, when she spotted a odd little shop. The store's name simply "Oddities", this struck Natalie with whimsical fancy, wanting to explore the store. She entered the store only to be drawn as if through magic pasted various odd items to a pair of rings in a case under the register. She stared at the rings with interest she could not stifle. A man startled her back from the longing she was feeling towards the rings. "I see you have found the linking rings, these amazing rings are guaranteed to bring anyone closer to you regardless of the relationship."
Natalie was skeptical though she did have a longing to be closer to her son, he had been drifting away from her over the last couple of years. "Really... How are they able to do that?" Natalie said talking in a sardonic tone.
"The rings play on the person wearing the larger ring, to cause the person wearing the smaller ring to become closer to them, always exactly in the way they want." The man added in his head 'Even if they don't know what they want exactly.' He knew that the rings would only call out to those whom wanted their powers, each item he sold was made that way to ensure no one would be burned by the potent magics. The sale was already assured there was very little chance Natalie could resist the calling of the rings, but that didn't mean the man would take any chances. "I think the rings would suit you perfectly, I'll give it to you half off the sticker price." As much as the items wish to be owned, the man wanted all the items to be given to the person whom should have them.
Natalie looked down to see the price of the rings, 200 dollars, a steal for what appeared to be pure gold, with amazing dazzling gemstones. However with half off that meant these were only 100 dollars, she simply couldn't pass up this chance. "Alright, you got a deal, I'll take them." She added a smile, happy at her wise spending.
The man placed the rings into a box that was meant for the set of rings, and slipped a piece of paper inside. Once the item had been purchased the two exchanged thanks, and went their separate ways.
