You looked at your reflection and began to tear up, looking frustrated. Teri saw this and lightly placed a hand onto your shoulder. "Is... Is something wrong?" she asked.
"I admit you did a good job." you said, looking closer at yourself. "Only, I... I..."
"You don't like it?" asked Teri, hurt.
"Something... is missing." you said. "I've never worn makeup before so... I can't put my finger on what it is."
Teri rose a hand to her chin, thinking. "You have a good eye if you can spot something wrong, having never worn makeup before." she said. "That's a good sign." That you may turn out to become my little sister.
You looked at your reflection again and began to play with your hair, not knowing why, and Teri smiled. "Of course, your hair is of a gender neutral style." she said, beaming. "That so does not go with your makeup."
"Is that it?" you asked, curious. "Is hair really that important?"
Teri giggled. "Alex, you have a lot to learn." she said. "Don't worry, though, your big sis is here for you."
With that said, she began to work on your hair while Tim impatiently waited for his turn to bond with you. "Try all you want, sis." he said to himself. "Alex is going to be a boy."
Minutes later, Teri had finished styling your hair and you looked at yourself again...
