You decide that the Industrial District promises the least amount of humanoid contact, and would be the best place to try and find a spot to hide and gather your thoughts.
The problem is that the Industrial District is very far from where you are and the ways to get there are very dangerous indeed. You have one land route, one water route, and a route that takes you through both land and water.
The land route would be the longest way and it would force you to cut through the Commercial district, a very high-traffic area. Moving along the shoreline would be the safest way to go, but you have fishermen between you and that way, not to mention the hunter trainer and his giant enemy crab relaxing like it was a day at the beach.
The water route is a straight shot from where you are, swimming across the the pond to the other shoreline. While it is the fastest way to get there and you would be able to avoid the goblins on land, it's still quite a distance to cross. Not to mention the water is heavily polluted with oil from the goblins' drilling, which would hamper your swimming ability.
The last route is a cut through the Financial District. It would involve getting past the greedy goblins and taking a short swim instead of a long one through a stream that's getting dammed up by a bunch of barrels. The catch is that the stream is directly behind where Boss Mida and her goons would normally be. While it doesn't look like the Boss herself is around, her personal assistant Kazit is holding down the court, along with Bruiser Janx and Engineer Niff.
