Part 2 of this chapter

Instead of being the planet being full of beauty and lush fauna, it was now a blood stained and desolate waste land. Nobody could possibly live on the planet now. Nobody dared. That was what made it so valuable for all three companies. In spite of this, the last EIC ground troops captured the outpost with minimal resistance from anybody. A few brief fire fights broke out. They only lasted for about 2 minutes. Fighters from both companies took their battles to the skies to avoid any stray shrapnel showering the troops. Jason noticed the fighting and got drawn in to the fighting. Taking on battle cruisers from MMO, Jason knew that nothing could stop him once he actually got into a combat frame of mind. Leading two of the MMO Goliaths to Jason were 2 Liberator fighting craft.

The last remaining MMO ships retreated from the field and headed for home. The EIC cruisers followed the MMO ships out of the upper atmosphere of Madeena 2 to warn them off. This tactic worked as the MMO ships fled back to where they came from.

Meanwhile, the fighters escorted the drop ships in to retrieve the ground troops and escorting them back out again. They made sure that the area was clear before rejoining the formation and flying back to base. After jumping through the gate from Madeena 2 to the second world, a swarm of Lordakian and Saimon vessels were waiting for them. Engaging the aliens, the super cruisers fought them yet did not sustain any damage to their ships in the fighting.

All of a sudden, a Sibleon ship appeared in front of them. The only way to destroy it was to destroy the middle of the ship, as the engine was situated there. In a flash of brilliant white light, the Sibleon vessel was destroyed and the debris from the ship had floated everywhere. Instead of it being a straight flight from one gate to another, it now became a case of avoiding the debris. After dealing with the Lordakian/ Saimon threat, the super cruisers reformed with the wing and all flew towards the gate at subsonic speeds. However, before they could jump, they had to deal with a new threat. A Binary Bot had appeared and was wreaking havoc in the world. This threat could not shoot back, but it had the ability to destroy anything it desires.

The only way to stop it was to aim for its head. The only downside with it was that the main power plants were in its pinhole slats on the main bodywork of the Bot. However, there was no alien species in the machine. It was being controlled from a distant place. But where is this place? Nobody really knows where the signals are coming from.
However, since this thing was heavily shielded, the only was to disable it was to use the ships' SAB-50 to eliminate the shields. Once the shields were eliminated, then the ships had a clean shot at the engines. With their laser cannons on full strength, blue streaks flashed past the ships and on their way to the Bot. Explosions rang out, but the engines were still in tact. Then all of a sudden, green, blue, red and white streaks flew into the engines of the Bot and in a huge pulsating and dazzling explosion, the ships flew through the cloud and vapour trails that had been left when the laser rounds went off.

Flying through the home gate, the pilots started to slow down so that they could get some sleep. Even it was only for about half an hour, sleep was the only thing that they needed.

The drop ships had already made it home. As they disengaged their jump engines and returned to main engines, a couple of huge A-class frigates were waiting on the other side of the gate to collect the ships. Alongside these frigates were shuttles to return the pilots back to base.

The frigates picked the ships up in their tractor beams and they were taken into the holding bay of the frigates. Also, the shuttles flew into their designated zones to collect the pilots. As soon as they were on the shuttles, they found somewhere to sit and went to sleep. The shuttle journey would take about 2 1/2 hours to complete. Meanwhile, the ships were being returned to their respective hangars at a much quicker pace. Within 1/2 hour, the ships were waiting in the hangars for their next mission.

2 1/2 hours later, the pilots disembarked from the shuttles and immediately headed for their rooms.

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. The pilots stay in bed

2. The pilots get up a few hours later

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
