Minato's expression quickly shifted from despair to joy.
"Really?!"
"Yep! Don't forget who it was that built the original one in the first place! Anyway, I didn't actually put a reverse function on that old ray in the first place..."
"*sigh* So you would've had to build a new one either way?"
"Yeah, sorry Minato... I honestly didn't expect anyone would be dumb enough to shoot the thing off at themselves, though! Once again, you have defied all my calculations..."
Minato simply rolled his eyes.
"Jee, thanks a lot Matsu..." he said in a sarcastic tone
Musubi, who was simply standing there and holding the mini-Minato out for Matsu to talk to him, was getting very confused by all this. After all the conversing was done with, she reached out with her free hand and bonked Matsu on the head. Matsu rubbed her head to ease the pain before responding.
"Ow, what the heck was that for Musubi?! That really hurt! Don't you know your own strength?"
Musubi simply smiled like the cheerful ditz she was and responded.
"I really don't understand what's going on, but it was YOUR thingamajig that shrank Minato, right? That was your punishment!"
"Ugh... Fine, whatever... Now, I should be able to build a growth ray to fix him by tomorrow afternoon... That just leaves one last issue..."
"What is it?" Musubi asked as she cocked her head to the side inquisitively
"Well, in case you haven't noticed, Minato is the size of a bug! Our little ashikabi here is completely defenseless in his current state, so we're gonna need to do something to keep him safe until tomorrow. I propose that we..."
