Emily sat down and started working on some of her homework. She was still embarrassed about having to be in such a place, but tried to ignore the other students.
Five minutes passed by slowly, and Ms. Caster was already feeling bored. Save for Emily, the kids obviously did not care that they were in detention, and obviously needed to be taught a lesson. I think I'll have some fun for once, she thought to herself.
Snapping her fingers once, a girl in the back row suddenly shrieked, standing up and looking behind her. Emily couldn't help but stare: the blonde-haired girl was somehow growing what looked to be a black-furred cat tail.
"What the hell?!" the black-haired boy next to her exclaimed.
But the changes continued - she next grew a pair of cat ears atop her head. "Nyoooo!"
"What is all the commotion?!" Ms. Caster shouted form the front. "I thought I made it clear there is to be no talking during detention!"
The cat-eared girl stood still, her hands covering her head. "But - but I'm somehow turning into a cat, Ms. Caster!"
"Well, maybe that will teach you not to end up here so often, Katherine. Now, please, sit back down, and do your work!"
Katherine's ears pinned themselves down, expressing her fright, and she did as told, her new tail swaying back and forth behind her.
Emily could hardly believe what she had just seen, but for some reason, she thought it made for an interesting development. She returned to her homework, already making mental notes to set her alarm clock for the morning.
