"Well... I mean," Tom stopped, composing himself. He could handle this. He was on top of his game. He was the one who should be in charge. He was the shot caller and this was just a negotiation. "Yes, you should be giving me a new position. I mean, really, if you sit down and look at it, I can deliver on what this company needs most. I bring home the cash assets we need for everyone to do their job. I'm a bankable asset. But, I understand I've done wrong, and I don't mean to suggest that should be swept under the table. Let's look at some other options for re-assignment. Somewhere I wouldn't be apt to cause you any problems, and I can still work as an asset to the company. Reasonable, right?"
"Well," Tanya said, pursing her full lips in contemplation. "You do make a valid point. You know the company well, and that does make you an asset.
