"Okay," Alan said as he powered the machine down before turning back to his test subjects. "So, at this point, Mark, could you explain to me what a for-each structure is?"

"Um," Mark said hesitantly, his head feeling as though it had been squeezed like a vice, then stuffed with cotton. "Not really..."

"Oh come on Mr. Summers," Susan said from across the room, grinning. "For-each is an easy construction when you're iterating through any large set of incrementing variables... it's basic stuff, Programming 101."

"But Susan," Alan said with a grin. "Wasn't your major more in Marketing than in Programming?"

"Well, yeah," Susan said as she thought back over school. "And I remember all the marketing classes, base market research and loss leader sales tactics... but... it's weird, I also remember being in Programming classes all day long and spending hours on end at my cubicle writing code... does this mean I really have his memories?"

"Yes, just the ones that apply to him doing his job though."

"But, what about me then?" Mark asked, his voice trembling in fear with the awesome power of Mr. Summers' machine.

"Oh, well..."
