For the first time in months, you are called into her office alone. This is notable because it meant that there is either trouble brewing that requires attention or...you're being laid off. Regardless of the type of boss, being called in alone is always a little nerve-wracking.
"Mat, can you close the door please?"
She asks so sweetly of you and you gulp, avoiding eye contact. Today, she wore a rather tight blue dress that really accentuated her already large chest. It would be hard to avoid staring at those, but you also didn't want to make it angry.

"Mat, I've been...wondering how to approach you on this. You've always been a hard worker and been willing to take up the most difficult tasks. I really appreciate that," she began, but you already felt your heart sink as you realize why you've been called in.
"...I'm getting laid off right?" you ask.

You feel your heart come back and you breathe an easy sigh of relief, then began to feel embarrassed by your assumption.
Lisa can't help but chuckle. "Mat, I don't know what I would do without you! Please don't think like that. You're a valuable asset to the company...and to me."
Her last bit caught you off guard. "Um...excuse me?"
Lisa cleared her throat, deciding to get to the main topic. "I want to get personal here. You see..."
