As Ron's little sister. Ginny was too well aware that all her brothers felt the need to protect her, and while she didn't like it, she recognised it came from a place of love.
However, with Fred and George, their intuitive magical insights were something she could respect. The hard work and dedication that her older brothers had achieved earned her admiration too. However, she struggled to find that same tolerance for Ron.
He just seemed to be drifting. Hanging about with Harry and Hermione. Basking in the reflected light of Harry's achievements, and relying heavily on Hermione's generosity to get his homework done. It was hard to respect Ron. Her nostrils flared cutely as she snorted in frustration. Knowing that if Ron had been... Ronni... Veronica, she'd be considered a bimbo and a parasite. It made her blood boil to see the easy life he had.
Her mother had made it clear in quiet chats that she didn't need to be studious, that as a woman she could be a mother, a home-maker, and contribute to the wizarding world in ways that wizards just couldn't. She recalled smiling along and nodding. She loved her mother and appreciated the sacrifices and contributions she'd made.
It was a shame he wasn't given that Ron had never been given such an out. Her teeth grinding, she knew that was an opportunity that she could... facilitate.
Her marks were far better, and she didn't need to rely on Hermione. An idea, a threat started to form in Ginny's mind. That she could provide 'Ronni' with that very opportunity.
