Can’t think about that right now. Pretty soon, Melissa will be back in her car, and when it’s just the two of us, that’s when I’ll make my move. In the meantime, I need to keep busy. I have to prepare. I feel my way around this dark purse for something soft, and I find some kind of makeup sponge or blotter or whatever they call it. The important thing is, it’s soft enough that I can shield my head.
Good thing, too. My stomach sinks as Melissa lifts me and this purse high into the air. Things tumble around a bit, but I avoid any further injuries, mostly, and I have a moment to reflect on the ridiculousness of this whole thing. I’m tiny in my girlfriend’s purse, and her casual actions are wreaking havoc all around me.

The motion finally stops. I poke my head out through a gap in the zipper and see that I’ve been plopped onto the passenger’s seat in her car. I turn to the side, and--
Wow, I forgot how gigantic she looks to me now. Wow. Wow, she’s really beautiful. She’s even more beautiful than at regular size. How is that?
She’s switching her CD. Now’s my chance!
“Melissa!” I shout.
She turns her head from side to side, curious and hopeful. “...John?”
“Down here! Look at the purse!”
She does, and just when I thought her eyes couldn’t get any larger... “Oh my God!” she yells.
Unfortunately, she yells while her windows are open.
An outside passer-by leans down by Melissa’s window. “Everything okay there, Melissa?”
Hey...That’s Marie out there! A gigantic Marie, but my still good friend Marie.
