As the light died down, Luffy opened his eyes and was greeted with a strange sight.
Standing in front of him was Robin, but she was dressed in his outfit. She had his red shirt over her torso, but closed in the front to cover her breasts. She had his shorts on her legs, tied with a yellow sash, while his sandals adorned her feet. Lastly, she had Luffy's straw hat on her head.
Luffy took a look at himself, noticing that he was now wearing Robin's clothes. He found his chest covered with Robin's purple top and his legs covered with her sarong skirt. Her high-heeled sandals covered his feet while his stomach remained exposed for the crew to see. Instead of his straw hat on his head, Luffy found Robin's sunglasses.
Luffy and Robin noticed their clothes had changed, like Luffy's clothes were made to fit Robin's body perfectly and vice versa. Also, both had the necklace around their necks, raising further questions in the Straw Hat Pirates' archaeologist.
Before she could voice her opinions, Chopper let out a groan. "All that necklace did was replicate itself and put the copy on Luffy. What a let down!"
"I'll say," Usopp added. "I expected something more dramatic."
Robin cautiously asked Sanji, "Is that really all the necklace did?"
Sanji blew some smoke from his cigarette out of his mouth and said, "Afraid so, Luffy. You found a dud."
Sanji's remark made Robin's heart skip a beat. "Luffy? He called me Luffy? Is it possible that..."
"What do you mean by 'dud,' Sanji?" Nami interrupted. "Luffy might have found a goldmine! If this thing can replicate itself every time it's worn, then we can sell the replicas at a market and make a fortune!"
"Alright, that's enough," Zoro said. "We've got no more business on this island, so let's just go."
"Yeah. I'm getting creeped out here," Luffy said.
"Wow!" Nami said to Luffy. "I think that's the first time I've seen you creeped out by something, Robin."
Luffy asked, "Robin? What are you talking about? I'm--"
Luffy was cut off by Robin covering his mouth and saying, "Set sail for the next island. I need to talk with Robin for a while." Without another word, Robin left the confused crew on deck while she dragged Luffy to the Aquarium Bar.
Nami, taking charge of the situation, said, "You heard Luffy, people! Let's get going!"
(At the Aquarium Bar)
"Why'd you stop me, Robin?" Luffy complained. "I was just going to tell Nami--"
"Who you really are. I know, but she wouldn't believe you," Robin said.
"What do you mean?"
"Somehow, this necklace forced us to switch lives with each other; and, from what I observed, the rest of the crew doesn't seem to notice. I think they believe I'm really you and you're really me."
"That's crazy! How can I be anyone else but me?"
Seeing she'd need to prove her point, Robin said, "Luffy, please wait right here. I'll be right back."
Watching Robin walk out of the bar, Luffy got an uneasy feeling in his stomach, but decided to ignore it. After a few minutes, Robin returned, but she looked different.
