The girls were ejected out of their pods causing a loud and painful thud. They groaned in slight pain as they got up and dusted off their Happy Girls uniforms. After a bit of walking they made it to the truck distributing the cookies. Though the rotund lady handing out the product was skeptical at first seining as they were all clearly too old to be trying to sell Girl Scout cookies, she shrugged it off and handed them their boxes and a rout to start selling. As they left though she still felt something was wrong about them and decided to keep them in the back of her mind.
After getting a safe distance away from the cookie truck the girls began their investigation. “Passion Patties, the minty chocolate miracle in your mouth,” Sam read aloud. Alex’s intrigue soured upon hearing the description. “blegh I hate mint flavored stuff! It always tastes like toothpaste.” Clover grabbed a box from the cart. “I’ll try it… you know for the mission!”
Just one bite of the first cookie sent her into a world of flavor! Her pupils dilated, her mouth watered in anticipation for more, a big smile grew on her face and every muscleman her body was telling her she needed more! “Ohmygosh they weren’t kidding! It IS a miracle in my mouth! aaahhh I’m in chocolaty mint heaven!”
Alex’s initial apprehension towards the possible flavor was over shadowed by curiosity. She took one from Clover’s box which made Sam look at her disapprovingly. “What? I just think maybe we need a second opinion! You never know if you can trust Clover’s tastebuds.” Just like clover, she experienced the same reaction: Pupils dilated, mouth watering, etc. “Wow she’s right! It’s like everything in my life was building up to this very moment!”
“Great I’m glad you two had a life changing experience, but we still have a job to do.” Alex took a picture of one of the boxes and put it into a mailbox that descended into the ground sending it straight to whoop labs. She wheeled the cart away to their first destination to continue the investigation, but Alex and Clover knew they had to get their friend to try just a little taste of passion patties. They felt it was their duty as friends to help her “see the light” so to speak.
“Come ooooonn Sam I promise it’s really good,” Alex whined. “Ya seriously it’s like life changing.” After hearing both of the girl’s points Sam couldn’t help but scoff.
“Guys it’s just cookies! They aren’t that special.”
“But how do you know if you’ve never tried it?”
“Alex, a single cookie isn’t going to teach you the meaning of life or anything. I don’t need to try it to know that it’s not that big a deal. Besides I thought you hated minty food.”
“Ya but this is really really really good!”
Clover reached into the already opened box and grabbed one. “Please, just one bite. I swear you won’t regret it.” The two of them laid on the thickest puppy dog eyes they couldn’t muster. “sigh Fine just one, but we get back to the mission right after got it?” Alex and Clover jumped up and down squealing with glee.
Sam was hesitant, taking only a small nibble. To her surprise it felt like the world was opening up around her and everything becoming so clear! In that moment she knew passion patties was the best thing she’s ever experienced! She wanted to eat more, but that would mean not looking any further into the situation. Worse of all, it would mean that she’d have to admit she was wrong!
