It was sometime after the Hundred Year War and Kyoshi Island was once again having it's founder's day celebration. Suki would normally have been running security with the rest of the Kyoshi Warriors but this year, she decided to take a break and enjoy the festivities. She even went without her makeup to complete the idea and instead wore the outfit she had used during the end of the war.
Suki loved it all but just wished Sokka was there to enjoy it with her. He and the rest of Team Avatar were so busy building what they called "Republic City" that she almost never saw him these days. She decided it would do some good to channel her sadness into some competitive spirit and entered as many contests as she could,winning them all.
Finally it all came down to the main event: an eating contest. Almost everyone on the island had entered and there were whole platters of the most delicious foods around. Suki tried not to drool as she caught sight of many of her favorite dishes. Finally, a gong sounded and the contest began!
