Chapter #7

Trust Issues

    by: Unknown
You were briefly taken aback by how forward Kurumu was with you, considering that you had only just met, but you quickly regained your senses. You didn’t really seem to mind. After all, you managed to make a friend on your first day at Yōkai Academy.

Well, three friends if you count her well-endowed chest!

“I’ll go anywhere, as long as I’m with you.” you finally answered, pushing all of the impure thoughts out of your head.

Kurumu smiled at your response. “Well then, would you mind coming with me to this club I’m a part of?”

You briefly remembered Ruby talking to you about some Newspaper Club or something, then you also remembered that you said that you would meet her at the Bell Tower. “Kurumu, I’m so sorry, but I completely forgot! I told Ms. Tōjō that I would meet her at the Bell Tower now. She said something about a Newspaper Club.”

“You’re in the Newspaper Club?” Kurumu asked.

“Well not yet, but Ms. Tōjō said that she was looking for more members.” you explained. “I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if you came with me.”

“Well it’s funny you should mention that. I’m actually already a member.” Kurumu informed you.

“Oh. I didn’t know that.” you said. “In that case, would you mind accompanying me to the Bell Tower?” you asked.

“Not at all.” Kurumu smiled as you walked hand in hand across the school and to the Bell Tower. You averted the gazing eyes of the other students as Kurumu led you to the Bell Tower.

“Kurumu’s so nice.” you thought. “There’s no way that she can be a monster. But, after what the Headmaster said...” you allowed your mind to drift back to what the Headmaster had told you during your initial meeting at the school.

“(name), it is imperative that you keep your identity as a human a secret. There are many students here at Yōkai Academy who do not necessarily get along with humans very well. My assistant, Ruby Tōjō will do what she can to help you, but many of the students here will not react in a positive manner should they learn of your true identity. I would advise you to keep that in mind as you go about your life here at Yōkai Academy...”

“(name), what’s wrong?” Kurumu asked softly.

Kurumu’s gentle voice snapped you out of your thoughts and brought back your senses. You could feel sweat dripping down your forehead. You wanted to tell Kurumu that you were a human, but you weren’t sure how she would react. And plus, the Headmaster did say not to let anyone know that you weren’t a monster. On one hand, you didn’t want to lie to her, but you also didn’t know how she would handle the truth. You didn’t know what kind of monster Kurumu was, and for all you knew, she could hate humans with a passion and kill you without a second thought. Who’s to say that telling her would be the right decision?

But that smile... With the way that Kurumu was looking at you, her violet-colored eyes staring deep into yours, you knew there was no way in Hell that someone as kind and gentle as Kurumu could be anything terrifying or evil.

“(name), are you okay?”

In the end, you decided to...

You have the following choices:

1. Tell Kurumu that you're a human

2. Insist to Kurumu that you're fine
