The hero of Earth (until he gets back home) raced around a coast line several miles away from his current residence after Tails stated that one of his machines detected a source of energy perhaps stronger than a Chaos Emerald on said beach, with that knowledge Sonic took off insisting that he check it out on his own considering that much power could be dangerous and that he'd call if it got too difficult for him. He started his search at the start of evening but after nine hours of no luck the hedgehog was about to head back home and explain to Tails that his machine had a glitch when he spotted a necklace sticking out of a pile of sand nearby. Upon further inspection Sonic figured it was valuable jewelry someone accidentally left behind but had a strong urge to put it on which he would do so after thinking about it for a few minutes. With the necklace on Sonic's mind was flooded with information about the necklace and all that it could do but before he could ask himself who he would test it out on he started hearing Chris' voice call out his name from a far distance...
