As she sat in front of the tv, she became more and more concerened about Rob's whereabouts. She would try to distract herself by imagining what could be inside the package. She traipsed down the hallway, back and forth a number of times, debating whether or not she should try to figure out what could be in the box. Finally, she decisively makes an about face and decisively heads in the direction of the package.
She glances left and right before nervously lifting the box. She studies the name and address of the sender more closely. She moves her hand like a painter would a brush to canvas and she traced the handwritten words on the package. There were moments where her excitement prevailed over her concern about Rob's absence.
She gently shook the box, trying to discern from the movement of articles inside what they may be. As idea after idea floated into her mind, she became excited. Not knowing where Rob was contributed to arousing feelings of coyly playing hard to get. For a few moments, she thought that Rob could be purposefully denying her attention as a form of foreplay. Eventually, her thoughts took a life of their own and she lost interest in the box. Now hugging the box which was full of possibilities and opportunities, she begrudgingly in a thoughtful and deliberate manner, placed it on the floor. She made an unconscious look to see if anyone were around, then returned to her warm spot on the couch.
When she felt that Rob was too tardy, even for his usual, she began to shows more concern. She thought less in terms of intimate fantasies and more down-to-earth possibilities that could be keeping Rob. She walks around the apartment to see if she missed a note he may have left. Unable to find anything that would indicate a reason for being late, she started to worry.
