Dan tried to imagine what Sam would be like with this voluptuous body if she weren’t a tomboy.
The first change seemed obvious. Dan said, “I wish I had really long, wavy hair.”
Her shoulder-length hair quickly elongated, forming itself into waves before Dan’s eyes. “Really long” turned out to be interpreted by the magic as all the way down to Dan’s knees. She briefly experimented with wrapping the hair around herself.
Of course, Sam wasn’t used to taking care of taking care of hair this long, so Dan followed up with, “I wish this hair would always look and feel this good.”
No change was immediately evident after that. Dan moved on to something that was definitely feminine. “I wish I had makeup on,” he said.
Light makeup faded into existence. It did make a noticeable difference, moving Dan’s face -- that is, Sam’s face -- closer to “beautiful” than merely “cute.”
If a little makeup made her appear a bit more beautiful, Dan wondered what a lot would do, saying, “I wish my makeup was a lot more obvious,” and realizing Sam wouldn’t want to do any maintenance, added, “And I wish it was magically permanent.”
Within seconds, Dan’s face was painted almost as if she were a porn star, with glossy lips, bright red cheeks, and colorful multi-hued eyeshadow. It didn’t really give her a more beautiful face, but it was at least striking.
Dan couldn’t resist a couple more changes to the face that she thought would be more feminine. “I wish I had longer eyelashes and thicker lips.”
Her bright pink lips plumped up, almost doubling in size and forming into a bit of a pout; her eyelashes, already dark with magical mascara, grew to a length that could normally be created only with the false version.
Dan looked at her hands. She knew Sam had gotten over her childhood habit of biting her nails, but still kept them as short as possible. That wasn’t particularly feminine, though, so she said, “I wish I had really long fingernails that were perfectly manicured -- and they’re magically permanent, too.”
Dan’s fingernails quickly grew out, forming into nicely shaped white tips, and in this case “really long” was a couple of inches, enough that they were starting to curl. A small voice in Dan’s head wondered about being able to do anything with her hands with nails that long, but Dan decided it wouldn’t matter with her wishing power.
Her gaze moved all the way down to her feet, which prompted a quick, “I wish I had a magically permanent pedicure.” That change wasn’t particularly obvious, but it got her to thinking about something very feminine indeed.
“I wish I was wearing sexy high-heeled shoes,” Dan said. She felt herself go up on tiptoes as the shoes formed around her feet -- black platform sandals with what must have been a 6-inch heel. Dan couldn’t remember ever seeing Sam in heels, so she added, “I wish I was totally comfortable in heels, like I wear them all the time.”
She experimentally stepped backward, then forward again, and it seemed to be just as she had wished.
