Jeremiah starts to feel a growth

As Jeremiah went back to work, He hardly noticed some parts of him were starting to grow bigger.

His ears seemed to grow slightly bigger.

It was a bright, sunny day, yet for a spring day it wasn't too warm and there was very little humidity.
So Jeremiah couldn't understand why he started feeling hot.
Hot, and itchy.

It was then he saw his hands; they seemed to be much bigger than normal.

'What gives?' he wondered, scratching the back of his neck and discovering that he was in need of a haircut.

Also, he discovered something else; his farmer cap no longer seemed to fit his head. it seemed at least 2 sizes too small. That ain't right. Maybe I'm hallucinating, Jeremiah erroneously surmised. He saw his hand start growing.

he went to the river where his cows drink from, and saw his reflection in the water...
