Rarity strained to pull the corset tighter. She just couldn't imagine where this extra weight had come from. Why, she'd been so busy recently that she hadn't even had time to eat!
Well, that wasn't exactly true. She had been able to grab a quick snack here and there, so she hadn't starved to death. But making herself a good, healthy meal took time, and time was one thing she hadn't had the last few weeks. As soon as she'd heard that Marie Quinn, owner of the largest modeling company in Equestria, was coming to Ponyville, she had kicked her ordinarily hectic schedule into overdrive. She didn't want a repeat of that whole Photo Finish mess, so she'd decided that she would model her designs herself this time.
Unfortunately, the snack food she'd been sustaining herself with had taken a bit of a toll on her waistline, and she wasn't going to be able to get into any of her best outfits if she didn't manage to tighten...this...corset! She certainly couldn't let Marie Quinn see her like this; she'd die of embarrassment!
If Rarity had been paying attention to her waistline, she would have known better than to start getting dressed with barely a half-hour before Marie Quinn was due to arrive. But then again, if she'd had time to pay attention to things like that, she wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. She could hear the corset strings strain and groan against her little belly, even as she pulled harder at them with magic and teeth both.
