As Jonathan did not answer the other young woman asked: “Jessica, is that you?” She was a petite brunette with big, expressive eyes.
Her face morphed from confusion to surprise upon seeing Jonathan, wearing Jessica's body. “Who are you? Why are you looking like Jessica?”
Panic surged through him, and for a moment, he struggled to find his words. “Uh, hi! I’m Jonathan. I know this looks… weird, but—”
“She used the body port?” She cut in, bringing the truth to the point.
“Yes, this is how I, um, just got here—via the body port. It’s very confusing, but I will be inside her body for the week”
The roommate crossed her arms. “What do you mean she’s now in a man’s body?”
“I guess you could say while I’m in her body for the week, she has mine” Jonathan stammered,.
The roommate said: “She used the body port to escape her life. I didn’t know that she made her stupid idea real!”
Frustration mounted in Jonathan as he ran a hand through Jessica’s hair. “I didn't ask for this! Look, I’m just trying to fill you in. I was not aware that Jessica was unhappy with her life—”
“Yes, Jessica was recently very unhappy” the roommate told.
Jonathan doesn’t want to ask but the roommate continued:
“I don’t know much, and she did not want to share much. She just told me a few things before she left, and it sounded like she was at her breaking point.” Jonathan took a tentative step closer, trying to navigate the precarious balance of the situation. “Look, I don’t mean any harm. I’m just a guest for a week in her body, I’m just visiting for a wedding, and then I’ll go back to my life, hopefully back to being a guy again. And then she will be back with new experiences hopefully…”
Slowly, the roommate’s posture relaxed. “Okay… I guess that makes sense. If Jess really is struggling, maybe this was her way of coping. But she never mentioned that she wanted to body port with a man.”
The roommate now became friendly and asked: “What are you going to do until you will meet your friends for the wedding? You can just hang around with me…” Jonahtan hesitated, glancing at the hot young woman, who invited her….
