Chapter #4

Still you, in a strange place.

by: Scifiwizard Retired Author IconMail Icon
You found yourself inside a what looked like a throne room from a fairytale, facing a tall elaborately dressed woman and three similarly dressed girls who reminded you of Hannah and her family, minus John. You tried to speak but your found yourself unable to do so as you also discovered that you can not move.

"What are we to do with this one, my queen?" asked the eldest daughter. "He is noble, through and through, and was brought hither in all innocence."

"Alas, we must test him, as we do all others who enter here." replied the queen. "Only I am at a loss as to how."

"Perhaps we can see how well he presents himself as a princess." suggested the second eldest. "It will earn him passage back to whence he came."

"It may also unfairly seal his fate as a young maiden." replied the queen.

"I say we ask him." said the youngest, dressed more elaborately than the other two sisters. "there is no harm is hearing his opinion in this matter."

The queen nodded and waved her hand. "Speak, young man." she demanded gently. "What say you of this?"

"I... I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage." you said, shaken. "A while ago, I was trying to catch Hannah's book so it would not get ruined." you then bowed your head, tearing up. "I missed and the book somehow slid under my feet, making the pages muddy." you began to cry. "I'm sorry..."

The queen smiled, her eyes twinkling. "I believe I now know what to do with this one." she said. "Face me, young man."

Trembling, you looked into the queen's eyes. "Yes... um... your highnesses?" you asked.

The queen giggled. "You have a kind heart but little knowledge of girls." she said.

"Well, yeah, I'm a boy." you replied. "All girls are a mystery to me." you then gave a dreamy smile. "That's I like them."

The girls giggled, blushing slightly as the queen giggled as well. "How would you like solve some of that mystery?" she asked you. "Live the life of a princess for thirty days and see, first hand, what how we girls live."

You looked at the queen, curious and frightened at the same time. "You can do that?" you asked. "How?"

The queen laughed. "How do you believe you found yourself inside a fairytale?" she countered. "Anything is possible."

"What... what about Hannah?" you asked. "She's still being bullied by Greg Waters and Karl Dusty."

The queen waved her hand, opening a window in the wall where you saw John Harrison, Hannah's older brother, and his friend Harry Rich angrily chasing the two bullies off with Hannah's older sisters comforting her. "Hannah is in good hands, Mike Cutie." said the queen, closing the window. "What do you say to my offer?"

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. You accept the offer.

2. You ask to go home.

*Noteb*
3. You don't answer the queen decides for you.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
