The white, bland hospital room was a sight that Homura Akemi had known for a very long time. Every time a timeline needed to be reset, she would end up back in her hospital bed, more ready than ever to head into the new timeline in her bid to save Madoka Kaname from her unfortunate fate. It had became a vicious cycle, each reset meaning another long struggle of following a specific plan, working to the wills of time to prevent any and all circumstances of Madoka even coming close to becoming a Magical Girl. And to top it all off, there was also the threat of Walpurgisnacht to deal with too. Homura had known for a long time that this was no easy task.
However, this time was going to be different. Homura started off in the same way: getting herself discharged from the hospital, getting prepared for school and taking her place in Madoka's class room, as always. But that was all that was going to be the same. Homura knew that things needed to change, her current plan of action that only resulted in failure in every timeline she had been through. Drastic action was needed to make sure that Madoka was safe from any harm and that Walpurgisnacht did not destroy the city.
Now in the classroom, Homura sat at her seat, intently thinking of her new plan of action. She needed something out of the norm, something outlandish and risky that would provide the correct path to success in the current timeline. Something, anything, whatever would make all the struggles she had faced worth it. It was then that Homura got an idea: a tremendously, wonderful, awful idea.
