Homura's eyes shifted to the figure of Sayaka Miki, a very close friend of Madoka. Homura's stoic expression bore a slight frown as she looked at Sayaka, which soon cast her mind to the others that also played a part with Madoka. She thought of Mami Tomoe, an older girl who mentored Madoka in the timelines. She thought of Kyoko Sakura, who would go to Madoka for assistance after an unfortunate incident with Sayaka. All three girls posed a threat to Madoka, each one shifting her fate closer to the incorrect outcome. Homura knew that Madoka only needed one friend to guide her through the incident, that one friend being none other than herself. After all, it was Homura who was repeating the timeline over and over for the sake of saving her.
And thus, Homura knew what needed to be done. Each one of the girls needed to be taken care of, put of the picture so that none of them could interfere with Madoka, leaving her to only be swayed by Homura's actions. However, she needed to be smart about it. She couldn't just out and kill them, that would gather too much attention. It would be disastrous if Madoka found out, she wouldn't ever speak to her again. No, for this, Homura needed something else, something that would put the girls out of commission for sure.
But first of all, which girl would she target first? Which of the the three threats was the most pressing, the one who would having the biggest influence on Madoka?
