"I need to hide you while we go through security, so I'm going to put you into my backpack."
Before you can protest, she reaches her other arm around her shoulder and slings her backpack in front of her, unzips on of the compartments, and slides you in. You fall in between what looks like a book on your left and some kind of mushy snack on your right. At least the snack is in a wrapper, meaning that it doesn't make a mess all over you. You tumble all over though as she walks through the line.
You can sort of recognize what's going on outside by the sounds. She's about to go through. She drops her backpack off at the scanner. When she sets it down, you're whole world turns on its head, literally. Everything including the delicate balance that kept you from being completely crushed between her book and snack was based on the backpack being vertical. Now that the backpack is flipped horizontally, the force of gravity shifted 90 degrees, so the book which previously to your right is now on top of you, and the snack below you. Struggling to breathe, you desperately try to wiggle your way out as you hear a series of computer beeps and clicks of the scanner.
Does the backpack make it through security all right or will it be checked?
