Alice stays

by: Thoughtful Writer Author IconMail Icon
Alice was completely awestruck of the even bigger Alan that kneeled before her in pain. She was scared but she couldn't help but feel a sense of empathy seeing Alan painfully huffing for air. "Are...you okay, Alan?" she asked. Alan was too scared to look up to her. He knew he absolutely terrified her with the ability he has yet to understand. Alan clenched everything he could: his eyes, teeth, and hands.

"Yeah," responded Alan still looking at the ground, "I'm okay." All of a sudden, he felt a cool chill running up his rippled back. Alice stroked his back, squatted to Alan's level, and rose his muzzle. "It's okay. I'm just glad that you're fine." Alan didn't understand. Why was Alice still here when she should be running in fear? "I don't really understand.. you saw what happened and yet here you are..." Alice smiled. "I wouldn't leave someone who needed help, even though i'm a little scared of what happened" Alan gave a sad smile, it wasn't often you met someone so selfless. "Thank you, it means a lot to me, I was sure you would have run away." Alice shook her head. "No, not from you, you are so sweet and gentle" Alan shivered a little, was this was what it felt like to find love? to find someone who could accept you for who you are? Alan felt a warmth blossoming in his chest, but it was different from when he grows, it was tender and felt wonderful. "Alice?" she looked him in the eyes. "Yes?" Alan's heart was beating fast as he worked up the courage to speak. "I was wondering if perhaps you'd want to go out on another date with me? this may seem like a weird time to ask it's just.." Alana didn't get a chance to finish his sentence as Alice pressed a kiss to his lips. "Yes I'd like to go out with you again..although let's make sure not to go out during a full moon ok?" Alan laughed a little relieved and elated.

Alan smiles, and chuckles. "Okay." The bigger wolf gets up and then heads to their picnic setting to grab his basket. He then looks back at Alice, "Well, I guess I'll call you then?"

Alice raises an eyebrow, "Hm? What, you're leaving now?"

Alan's eyes widen a bit, unsure of what to say, "Well...yeah."

Alice walks up to the muscular wolf, "Alan, we've only been here a few hours and you want to leave now?"

The mighty wolf was still just as speechless. "Well...uh..."

"Look Alan, I'll admit this was a big surprise, but that doesn't mean we'll automtically just leave because of it.", Alice explained. "I mean, would you like it if we only spent a few hours on a date?"

"Well...no.", Alan utters. "But, do you think I should even be out here like this?" Alan holds out a hand to show his ripped and tattered clothers.

Alice merely blushes in return, "Mm..." The female wolf quickly turns around, "Oh. Yeah, well...um...I, don't mind. Is, isn't that all that matters right now?"

Alan's eyes rise up, blushing a bit himself. "Oh. Uh, alright." The big wolf sets the basket back down, noticing that there was still enough food to go around for the two.
