School was out. He couldn't believe it. All he had done that year was now behind him, and it was finally time to kick back and relax. It was finished. Over. Done. And you know what? He felt pretty darn good about it. Anthony practically floated home that June afternoon, thinking about all the video games he could play and all of the TV he could watch, and best of all, all of the homework he wouldn't have to do this summer! Anthony turned and looked to his right. He saw his house, a small two-story that wasn't much to look at. Just a normal house. But, who could complain? He reached into his pocket and pulled out the key to the front door, and put it in the lock. After having some trouble getting the door open, he stepped inside and shut and locked it behind him. He dropped his book bag and raced upstairs, just so excited that school was finally out!
Anthony soon reached the door to his room. He opened it, stepped inside, and leaped onto the bed. He just lay there for a while, doing nothing but stare at the ceiling. After a while, he decided to play some Super Mario. Anthony was a very confident gamer and an expert when it comes to video game history and backstory. (Something that didn't give him a lot of recognition at school, mind you.) Anthony opened up his Nintendo DS, and plugged in Super Mario. He started playing the classic 2-D scroller, enjoying every bit of it. After a few hours of playing, Anthony eventually beat Bowser and saved Princess Peach. Anthony stared at the screen. Now THAT was a girl he wanted to meet! Flowing blonde hair, big blue eyes, a crown on her head and a pink dress giving her that elegant look he loved so much...
"Man," Anthony thought aloud, "I wish Princess Peach was real..." Anthony suddenly felt a little sick. He assumed it was nothing, just sitting on a bed playing video games too long, he supposed. But it wasn't just that, and he knew it. His stomach rumbled. Something was definitely wrong. It may have been that apple he had had earlier, but there was no way that was the cause...was there? He felt like he had to throw up, and he did. He jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom. (Insert graphic description of a boy throwing up a small pink egg out of his stomach here.)
