Still pinning her arms behind her back, you respond.
"I may be in your body now, but I am no murderer! I appreciate you killing that bandit, but you still are a danger to those out there."
"Fine! What will happen now? Will I be locked up? Do I get to leave?"
Looking back at your cart, you realized that you would be punished if you return to the city with damaged goods.
"Seems were both fugitives of the law now...so, tell you what I'm going to do. You can either join me and be my weak little sidekick, or I can force you to join me until we figure out something together."
"Do you really think I'm going to trust you? I'm the most feared person in the country, remember? I'd be an awful sidekick to you...But, I think I'll accept your offer of joining you. I have no other choice now. What's your plan now, partner?"
"First things first, I need to wash your armor. If people see the blood in my new armor, they're going to make a few connections. Then, were going to get you a new weapon. Your new body can't handle carrying an axe."
You find a nearby water source and do your best to wash away the blood. As you're washing the blood off your new armor, you asked the Knight.
"I don't want to keep calling you Blood Knight, so what's your real name?"
"My real name is Althea. But I go by the Blood Knight because it sounds fierce and people respect me because of it. I would not be taken seriously if my name was Althea the Blood Knight. Althea isn't really a scary name, is it?"
(You introduce yourself to Althea) "I'm just a simple delivery man...nothing too special..."
"Oh...well, you are special to me. Not that I'm flirting or anything. Just...you know, you're the first person in the country to beat me in a fight, and for that, you earn my full respect."
After cleaning the armor and weapons, and putting on your armor again, you asked Althea...
"When you killed that bandit earlier, were you going to kill me as well or spare me?"
Althea looks at you and says, "To be honest, I was going to kill you. My goal, no matter what, has always been to kill you. After you bested me in combat today, I now realize the futility of fighting you. I am now a changed woman. My quest for revenge is now over."
"I've gained the advantage. Doesn't mean you should kill people."
"True. However, I realize now all my fighting was in vain. You won today, and there is still honor in admitting defeat. I am sorry for all the lives I took, and I wish to put an end to it all and live a normal life."
Giving it a bit of thought, you responded.
"We may not be able to swap back to our original bodies, but let's do it! Let's escape the Mallow Kingdom and start all over!"
"Really? You want to run off with me? I mean, I'm not complaining, but I am a little surprised. The Mallow Kingdom has gotten boring and my life is too stressful. I just want to start all over, but how? The Mallow Kingdom has a guard force at every exit!"
"Maybe we can try and find someplace to bypass the borders?"
She thinks for a moment and says, "Let's sneak out through the mountains. There's a pass close to where we are right now. The other guards are too lazy to check the mountains. They think its too much trouble."
"Screw it, let's do it. All we need is some rations and some supplies. I should have my bag of stuff with me..."
"Alright, if we're going through the mountains, we'll probably get a bit cold. Try to bring some winter clothes and a coat."
After searching through your cart, you were able to find some more clothes. You also have plenty of food now. You're ready to go!
