Amanda's spongy blue sandals clapped across the old wooden floorboards of the cabin as she approached the shadowy figure near the back. Rachel was actually still in her bunk, and was indeed reading letters presumably from home. A glance up to the top bunk revealed a mountain of stuffed animals and Rachel herself was sitting on a blanket covered in a teddy bear pattern.
"This girl's older than I am?" Amanda questioned to herself as she walked over, "I guess theres nothing wrong with that. I've probably got some stuff back home. I see why she stands out to Lauren though.
Lauren herself had gone out front to meet up with Roxy. Misery had already sat down next to Jill on the front steps, intently trying to figure out what she was playing on her hand held.
Rachel herself had small rimmed glasses and her black hair tied back into a pony tail. She hid behind a row of bangs that hung almost over her eyes.
"What do you want?" Rachel said flatly, glaring up from her letter.
Amanda glided over and sat down softly on the bed... which creaked and groaned showing the age of the springs that barely held it together. Her dramatic entrance gone, Amanda still smiled sweetly to Rachel and said, "I'd like to be your friend. I know what it's like to miss your parents."
Rachel raised an eyebrow and tucked her letter into an evelope and then into the nightstand drawer beside her bed. "Really? You just got here!"
"My... Parents arn't around anymore," Amanda began.
In response Rachel blinked, her bangs being tugged gently by her long eyelashes, "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to..."
Putting up her hands, Amanda calmed the girl, "You didn't know. Now, you're having problems here arn't you? I'd say you've probably always had problems with girls like Lauren."
Clenching her fists against the blanket, Rachel tugged up two handfulls of it.
Amanda slid closer and put her arm around her, "How would you like to get back at someone like Lauren?"
Rachel looked surprised at first and hugged her knees to her chest but slowly her eyes went from staring at the dusty floorboards to finally looking back up to Amanda.
"What would I do?" She asked softly.
Amanda reaches into her lunch bag and pulls out...
