Travis knew if he didn't return home soon that he'd worry his family, and get in trouble too of course. He propelled himself through the roof of the facility and saw that he wasn't all that far from his house.
"Hmm... How is it that I never noticed a facility like this before? This really must be some hidden government technology shit" he giggled to himself.
Travis was still getting used to flying, so much of his first motions were incredibly uncoordinated, but naturally he got a hang of it. Flying at a speed much faster than he anticipated, he reached home in no time, landing himself on the doorstep and opening the door... or at least trying to open it.
"Wait, what the..." he questioned as his hand just phased through it. Travis wasn't quite adjusted to the fact that he no longer had his own physical form. He sent himself right in, only to find his family seemingly unfazed by his absence. His father was preparing dinner for the family, his mother was vacuuming the hallway, his brother Jason (15 years old) was playing video games, and his sister Angelica (20 years old) was getting ready to go on a date with her boyfriend; overall, it was just like any other Friday afternoon.
"Hey Dad, you're not gonna believe this but... Dad!" Travis exclaimed, noticing that his father paid no attention to him.
"Hey honey! Do you know where the turmeric is? I need it for the chicken tonight," said his father, clearly unaware of Travis' presence.
Quickly it dawned on Travis that he no longer could interact with tangible objects, but he could also no longer physically interact with people in general.
"Well shit... seems like the only way I can alert my family is if I possess one of them and use them as a medium for this... God it just seems like such a violation but fuck, I have to do it.. Geez, who do I go for?" he asked.
