Prayer

I'd never been much of a praying man, but that particular website seemed to be calling me to it.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away...I ask of the Lord and he giveth...He maketh me to lay down in green pastures...

Even though the grammatically-correct usage would be "lie down in green pastures, I ignored it as I read on and on about the power and generosity of the Lord.

And, that night, before I went to bed, I prayed with all my heart for a woman to be delivered up to me.

(And you know where this story is going.)
