Relaxation

Finally, after a long day of calculations, errors and experiments, Julie had finally found a promising serum for her employers. After all this research, her work would be able to help people. She had been hired to create a serum with the ability to shrink people and organic tissue, and it offered so many possibilities in the medicinal world. Tumours would no longer be an issue, simply being shrunk by the direct injection of the chemical.
She shrugged off her lab coat, leaving it fall to the floor, and eased herself out of her suit, dropping into the "used" bin to be washed and sterilized later. She exited the lab, locking it behind her with a set of keys, and headed through the living room towards the bathroom.
As she walked by the couch, she caught her foot on the rug and tripped slightly. She flailed her arms and regained her balance, muttered to herself and continued to the far wall, where a hi-fi stereo sat. She switched it on, put in a disc, and turned up the volume. The relaxing sounds of Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" drowned out the noise of the nearby highway as Julie made her way to the bathroom. As she reached the door, she kicked off her shoes, using them as a doorstop, and began to fill the bath with hot water, adding some scented oil and other such products as a treat. Finally satisfied with the level of the water in the tub, she stripped off her clothes, leaving them in a pile by the door. Stepping into the tub, she sighed happily as she sunk into the foamy, sweet-smelling water and lay back, letting the music wash over her.
