Charlotte pulled herself out of bed, no mean feat considering her new condition. She looked around her. Every bunk was filled with a snoring woman, their bellies creating gravid spheres rising out of their blankets. Sigh. She remembered before the change. She had been Charlie, and every one of these woman had been a muscular soldier, ready to defend their country at a moments instance. Now resigned to backaches and stomach cramps, no longer needed by this confused world. She waddled over to her locker and pulled it open. On the back was a picture, it was her. The Army had made everyone take one when they changed. Something to do with "documenting the change over time". Hers had happened instantly. Carefully she took the picture and studied it.
That was her on the first day. She was having Triplets. The Sheer thought of it terrified her. As a man. She had been single, muscular and had no wish for a relationship. Now she was having three kids. It was just a complete turnaround and she was struggling to cope. Just then she got the shock of her life.
20 Alarms started beeping at once, making her jump out her skin. The Barracks was filled with moans and the thumping of bare soles on a bare linoleum floor. The others were waking up. "Guess its time to get ready then" she thought to herself, pulling her uniform out of the locker and dumping the photo back in.
15 minutes later and everyone was on a parade. It was a bizzare sight to behold. Everyone was standing slightly further back than they normally would due to the extra space taken up by their bellies. And many had to waddle as fast as they could to the nearest bathroom, morning sickness was still hitting many hard. Charlotte pitied them. She had not yet been hit by the effects of the morning sickness. Maybe because she had grown so quickly? At least. That was her logic.
Suddenly she felt herself go pale, "Guess it's my time to be pitied" she thought to herself. Just then, the CO, obviously having Babies in the Double Figures, Waddled onto the square. "Great", Charlotte thought. Now what do i do?
*Authors Note - In the Army. Its seen as a mark of great disrespect to leave a parade without being told. Especially if its being taken by a Commanding Officer. So what should Charlotte do?*
