Susie grins up at Kate, "You wanna play with me?"

Kate smiles indulgently at her and then gives you a look, "Do you mind? I just can't say no to this kid."

At that moment your stomach grumbles, and you remember your own hunger. Somehow you don't think cookies will suffice, "Uh... sure Kate. You know she loves you, I've got to go upstairs for a bit anyways. You two have fun, and don't be too loud, Mom's still asleep."
