A thought strikes you. Your boyfriend Tim would take you out to lunch, for sure! Taking only a second to grab your jacket, you barrel downstairs and out the door.
"Mom I'm going to Tim's! Bye!"
You don't wait for an answer. Tim lives right up the street, and it's nice out, so walking's no problem. The sun's warmth takes your thoughts off food for a little while....no way it will last, though. When you get there and ring the bell half an hour later, he's the one to answer. A tall, sandy-haired boy only a year older than you. Even though it's almost noon, he's still just wearing a pair of boxers and t-shirt. You two are similar that way...he smiles, waving you in and shutting the door.
"Hey Mary. I was actually going to call in a while. After breakfast."
Boy was that the wrong thing for him to say. It sets your stomach clenching all over again, even as he hugs you and presses his lips down on yours. The taste of his mouth isn't helping much either...for a moment, you're overwhelmed by the urge to stuff his head in your mouth right there. You shake the morbid (yet somehow pleasant) thought off with a shiver. He looks at you worredly.
"Are you okay? No one's home, so if you want me to turn the AC down..."
"No, it's alright. Just had a...bad dream, that's all. I missed you."
You both smile, and kiss again. He winks.
"So did you come for breakfast?"
Boy, he's on a roll today...or might be, in a minute.
