The next few minutes are a blur, but you finally shake, leaning over on your knees, panting as you catch your breath.
You glance around and realise you've arrived in a spot outside of town in a wood. It's isolated and usually pretty private, though at weekends it's a favourite with couples.
With a gasp you collapse to the ground, the hunger still surging within you, but dying it seems.
"Why did I run?" you whisper to yourself.
Why had you run? All you remember is that insatiable hunger, that all encompassing NEED! You vaguely remember some images that had flashed into your head that looked like Kate's legs sticking out of your mouth.
For a long time you just sit there, trying to understand what is happening to you. Were you really thinking of swallowing Kate? Why? More importantly how?
Thankfully it's a warm summer morning, even in the shade here so being very scantily clad doesn't leave you freezing while you try to sort it all out.
After an hour you seem to have a handle on quelling the hunger inside you, even if you don't understand why you have it.
Finally you sit up and look up at the sun filtering through the trees overhead. You've been here too long, what must Kate think?
