"Yeah, about time!" Philip said, chuckling as he laid out his winning hand. "Here Mrs. Ferguson, let me show you how the game works."
"Philip, I think I've been around long enough to have a good idea how these things work. I'm not an entirely uncool mom you know. It's perfectly natural for you kids to be curious and to play a little strip poker," she said, still not believing in the magic of the game.
"Like I said Mrs. Ferguson.... it isn't like that. It really is magic. Here, let me show you," he said, readying his swap.
"Dude, that's my mom!" Michael chimed in. "No picking her until she's seen it and understands."
"All right," Philip said, throwing up his hands. "Fair's fair. But I'm almost out of time... um.."
"Yeah Phillip," Josie said sticking her tongue out at him. "Don't screw it up... tick-tock, tick-tock."
"Oh come on now Josie," Cindy Ferguson said, trying to keep things polite amid the group of hormone driven teens. "Be a gracious loser, have fun out here."
"I know," Philip said, ready with his swap. "I want to swap chests with Josie!"
"Dude, that is so uncool," Michael said, miffed that Philip was doing this just to get his hands on Josie's breasts.
"Pervert," Josie said, folding her arms over her ample bosom. A minute went by, then two, and everyone stared fixedly at Josie's chest... and at Philips, but neither changed.
"Well, that was interesting I guess," Mrs. Parker said.
"Damn, that fucking sucks," Philip said in Melody's squeaky teenage voice. His eyes went wide in shock as he heard the sound coming from his own mouth. "What the fuck? Shit, I missed the time limit!"
"Oh my god," Michael said, laughing deeply. "Dude, that is freaking hilarious!"
Mrs. Parker tried hard to stop from laughing but failed completely. "Philip... normally I don't abide much swearing in the house... but... in that voice... you can say whatever you want. Oh this is going to be really fun!"
"Wow Philip," Anna said, losing the last of her anger at seeing someone get a worse end of the stick than she had. "Say it again, say how much this fucking sucks!"
"Oh shove off," he said, pushing the cards towards Melody. "Here you go short stuff," he said in her voice. "It's your deal."
"Yay," she said with a bit of a giggle that sounded really strange in Philips voice. "I love it when I get be dealer, then even when it's not my turn I have something to do."
For a good two minutes, Melody just shuffled the cards. It was nice that people were really starting to treat her like she was the older brother and she didn't want the night to end. This was too much fun!
