"Alrighty.", Melody smiled looking at the others. "It's rare that I win against older ones.". She smiled even broader.
"Yeah, then choose something.", Jeremy said rolling his eyes slightly. Worse enough that his sister just came with him to Michael's birthday party, she won. Jeremy did not wanted her to come along but his mother said he should take her with her.
"Yeah, I will.", she said sticking out her tongue at Jeremy. "And I know what I want.". She blushed slightly and looked at Michael.
She did not tell anyone, especially not her brother, but she had a slight crush on Michael. This was the reason she came along to the party. "I want to swap boyfriends with Josie.", she said, getting even more red in her face, a tomato would be looking green beside her.
"You what?!", exclaimed everyone on the table disbelieving.
"You heard right.", she said, crossing her arms and looking dead serious. "I want to swap boyfriends with Josie.", she repeated. "I always had a crush on Michael and so I cam along, I wanted to be near him.", she then explained. "And now he is my boyfriend.".
"And if I don't want to be your boyfriend?", Michael asked. "I love Josie and I certainly don't love a 13 year old girl.".
"But the card game changed that. You're now my boyfriend and have to love me!", she said like a little child that gets not what it wants.
Josie leaned over to Michael and whispered in his ear. "Just play along. For the world it's normal and you can make her happy. It's just for 48 hours, okay? You can do this, can you?".
Michael sighed and nodded. "Okay... I'll play along.", he whispered back. "Worst birthday EVER.", he added whispering so quietly noboday except Josie could hear it.
Michael then lookedat Melody. "Okay. I'll be your boyfriend. It's not like I have a choice. It's the rules.". Melody smiled broad and clapped her hands excited. "Yay.".
"Let's continue...", Michael said unenthusiaticly. It could not get any worse, could it?
