The caped crusader was at his most vulnerable as the victim of animal transformation. One of his most infamous transformations was when an unnamed female mobster, mimicking the gimmick and powers of the evil sorceress Circe, placed a curse on him, transforming him into a pig, during a night on patrol with Batgirl. As the rumors of the dark knight's transformation spread across Gotham city, and with no sign of any other of his allies, it was up to Batgirl to find a way to reverse the effects of the transformation. She alone must defend Batman, in this vulnerable form, as she struggled to solve the mystery behind it all. But would she be able to find the unnamed mobster and reverse the effects, or will the likes of Catwoman, the Penguin and Harley Quinn help themselves to servings of pork chops?
Even Catwoman however, was forced to endure such a humiliating point of view, more significantly with her encounter with Kirk Langstrom. After learning about cases of animal cruelty in Langstrom's laboratory, Catwoman couldn't resist. She had to teach the professor a lesson, but what he had in store for her was far more than she bargained for. After throwing a mysterious substance into the face of the cat burglar, she was horrified to find herself transforming into a mouse! To make matters worse, Langstrom revealed that his latest formula was funded by the criminal mastermind, Two-Face! Forced to adapt to her new form, Selina had to learn that life wasn't so bad as a mouse before she was found and captured by the vengeful Harvey Dent.
